Robert Gerald LeBell
36 years of State and Federal, Trial and Appellate criminal litigation. Typical cases involve charges of homicide, sexual assault, child molestation, drug violations, RJCO conspiracy, white collar offenses, and OWL Experience: thousands of criminal felony proceedings including all facets of trial and appellate practice. Extensive experience representing individuals who are the subject of civil sex predator commitment proceedings, both trial and appellate levels. Currently the CJA Resource Counsel for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Presented numerous arguments before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Wisconsin Court of Appeals and United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In 1996, successfully argued before the United States Supreme Court securing a reversal in United States v. Ornelas, 52 F3d 328 (7th Circuit 1995).
